Studio Lichtjaar was founded by designer / art-director Roel Elsinga as a vehicle for growth and collaboration. We love working together! Different creatives have different ways of seeing and doing things, which enriches projects and inspires. Finding the right synergy is a thing to behold.
While we have been mainly focused on interior architecture over the past decade, we also love designing custom furniture and graphics. We excel in concepts & aesthetics ... Bring it on! :)

We have a soft spot for designing accent chairs, so you might stumble upon a lot of chair designs if you happen to Google us.
This is the FreeWing, a lounger reminiscent of a butterfly. A pair of these lounge chairs were recently shipped to a client in the Middle East.
